What is a cake pop? 

Cake pops are made from a fully baked caked that is then crumbled and rolled into a ball and then placed on a stick or left as a ball. The pops are either presented as pop down/stick up or pop up/stick down. The balls of cake are then designed to fit each individual need. The pops are then wrapped individually and placed in a box, stand, or keepsake item for pick up. The process to make pops is long and very detailed in order to create a design within a small space. Keep in mind, the price per dozen is determined based on the design and the time to create.

Caring for Your Pops

Once you receive your pops, you must keep them cool. A suggestion is to keep it in a freezer until your event. If you have an outside event in warm heat, you must keep them in a cool location, for example, a cooler, or the pops will melt. This also means if the pops are in a venue that is too warm, the pops could start to soften from the inside, which makes the pops appear “undone.” The pops are not undone. In order to roll pop, the cake has to be firm in order to hold it’s shape. If the pop becomes overheated, it will either start to melt from the outside, with the pops become very messy from the melted chocolate, or they will soften from the inside, meaning once you bite the pop (which looks fine from the outside), it will feel very soft and not pleasing to eat. The only resolve is to place it immediately back into a freezer or fridge or throw it away. Once pops are delivered, Mone’s Cake Pops is not responsible for pops melting due to high heat surroundings.

The process to make pops is a long one, as mentioned before. Please make sure you take care of the pops following the above directions. It is very difficult for me to hear that after all the work that has been done, that the pops were unusable because they melted. There will be no refund in this instance. I am extremely clear at the time of pick up, that pops MUST REMAIN COOL!!! If you contact me stating that the pops are undone, there will be no refund because that is a user error.

Shipping and Delivery

For anyone placing an order in Richmond, if you are unable to pick it up, arrangements can be made to deliver. Delivery within 30 mins of my home will be $7. Delivery within 30 – 45 mins of my home will be $12. Anything over 45 minutes would need to be shipped.

Mone’s Cake Pops will ship to anywhere in the United States. International shipping is not currently offered. All pops are shipped with the utmost care, including dry ice to keep pops cool during shipping time.

All dessert items will now be shipped solely through UPS to guarantee arrival. I’ve had horrible experiences with USPS, especially their lack of respect for your items, as well as being unable to contact them for any assistance with anything. With that being said, shipping costs will be charged as follows:
Dozen – $9
2-3 dozen – $12
3-4 dozen – $15
Anything over 4 dozen – $19
Other items being added may change the shipping costs but it solely depends on what is being ordered. If the shipping comes out cheaper, I will credit back the difference.

Please make sure that as soon as you receive your shipped pops, you need to place them in a cool location (refrigerator or freezer), so that if the pops softened during shipping, the cold air will harden them back up.

Serving Sizes

Cake pop orders are sold by the half dozen(6) or the dozen(12). Individual pops are sold at $2.00-$3.00 per pop. 1/2 dozen is $15. 1 dozen starts at $25. Orders of 1 1/2 dozen or less will come in a decorative glass (wine glass, drinking glass, beer mug, mason jar, coffee mug, vase, or other themed option). Mone’s Cake Pops cannot determine what serving size would be appropriate for your event but the suggestion is to have at least one cake pop per guest.

Flavors

Mone’s Cake Pops offers a variety of flavor options listed on “The Pops” page. Orders of 1-2 dozen will only be given the choice of (1) flavor unless I am doing a vendor event the same week and the option for multiple flavors will be given. For orders of 3 dozen, you will be given the choice of up to 2 flavors. For orders of 4 dozen or more, you will have the option of up to 3 flavors. If more flavors are requested over the included amount, that will be determined based on other orders I have that same week.

Samples

For wedding orders or orders of 4 dozen or more, samples will be offered for up to three flavors. You will receive two pops of each flavor. If you need more samples, each additional pop will be $2 a piece and must be paid before samples can be given.

Prices

Mone’s Cake Pops offers below-market pricing so prices are non – negotiable. Pricing is discussed at the initial discussion so if you do not agree with the pricing please do not place an order to negotiate later. You are receiving custom cake pops that take a lot of time to prepare so please remember that when pricing is discussed.

If you pay using a credit card or through PayPal, a 5% sales tax fee will be added to those orders.

Deposits

A non-refundable deposit will be required for large orders. In order to schedule your order, a 20% or $25 non-refundable deposit (whichever is higher) will be required. Cake Ball cakes will require a deposit of 10% to hold the date. Without the deposit, Mone’s Cake Pops will not be able to hold your date. Priority will be given to the paying customer. Deposits can be made either by cash, cash app, credit, PayPal, or check. If paying with a check, funds must clear first before the date can be saved and if the check does not clear, the customer will be responsible for paying fees associated.

If the customer decides to change their mind after the deposit has been made, that will be perfectly fine but non – refundable deposit will not be returned. Keep in mind, with large orders, I am refusing other orders to give yours priority, hence the reason for the non – refundable deposit.

Wedding Orders

Wedding orders will require a contract since these orders are generally 4 dozen or more. Wedding orders will be required to complete a contract, the deposit must be received with a contract, and full payment will be due the day before the event. A phone call will be placed 2 weeks before to confirm the order as well as to confirm any final payments. If the order is canceled, all money will be returned minus the initial deposit.

Order Confirmation

Once you place an order, I will add you to a master calendar based on the date due. If no deposit has been placed, a phone call or text will be made the week of to confirm that the order is still needed. If no contact has been made 2 days before your original request pick-up date, your order will be removed from the calendar and another request will replace it.

Non – Pick-Ups

If you put in a request for an order and then I call you the week of to confirm, if you confirm and then don’t pick up the order with no phone call or email to myself to state that you are unable to pick up, Mone’s Cake Pops will be unable to do business with you again. Pops take A LOT of time to create, and it is simply inconsiderate to not even place a phone call to me. I understand that things come up. An unexpected bill could arise or the event that your pops were needed for got canceled. All I ask is that you communicate so that we can continue to do business in the future.

Payment Plan

As a mom of three, I know what it’s like to want to give my children the best events possible but sometimes those things cost a lot of money!!! So, Mone’s Cake Pops is happy to offer payment plan options to help you take the time to pay for your order. Payment plan options are chosen by the customer, so you basically let me know how you can pay on it and that is what will be placed in writing. With that being said, please make sure to pay on the dates discussed. Invoices will be sent via PayPal for record-keeping reasons. You can either make your payments through PayPal or you can pay me by cash, credit, or check in person or check through the mail.
